Cancellation policy
Version 0.9-draft · Last updated
1. Before you commit
Submitting a brief or booking a discovery call is free and does not commit you to anything. Nothing is charged until you accept a written scope and agreement and pay your initial invoice.
2. Commitment periods
The contract is month to month. On Essential, the initial invoice covers the setup fee and 3 months upfront. Each plan has a fixed commitment, which is how long you must stay subscribed before you own the source code: Essential and Growth 12 months, Business 24 months, Scale 36 months. The billing interval (monthly or annual) is separate from the commitment.
Payments are made through PayPal. Your subscription starts at launch, which happens only after the first month’s payment (or the first year’s, on yearly billing); on Essential, the months paid upfront cover the start. After that, PayPal takes payment on the same day each month (or year) as the first payment.
3. Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel at any time and do not owe the remainder of the commitment. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: the current month on monthly billing, the current year on annual billing, or the 3 upfront months on Essential. Cancelling stops future PayPal payments, and until then the service continues as normal.
Your data remains yours: on request we export it in a convenient format suited to the data. The source code and database are handed over only once the commitment is complete.
4. When the commitment ends
When your commitment ends you own the agreed source code and the database. You can keep running the application with us at the same rate or move it elsewhere. Code handover does not automatically cancel hosting or maintenance.
5. Cancelling a discovery call
You can cancel or reschedule a discovery call at any time using the link in your confirmation email. There is no charge.
6. How to cancel
You can cancel your subscription in your customer portal, or contact us by email. We confirm in writing the date your cancellation takes effect.
